Anthropic’s new Model Hardware Standard allows artificial-intelligence agents to control microscopes, liquid handlers, robotic arms and other physical laboratory equipment, creating a path toward autonomous drug-discovery laboratories capable of designing, running and adjusting experiments around the clock.
