Ginkgo Bioworks joins $1.5bn NSF X-Labs push with autonomous laboratory access
Ginkgo Bioworks will provide in-kind robotic laboratory access and protein testing services to researchers involved in the National Science Foundation's $1.5 billion X-Labs initiative. The announcement strengthens its position in publicly supported autonomous research infrastructure, but the programme's headline funding is not a contract award to Ginkgo.
